Buena Vista is an ideal place for a Colorado weekend getaway or extended vacation. Our location in Colorado’s “banana belt” means you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities throughout the year. There are a number of wonderful trails for your hiking vacation, and fly fishing on the Arkansas River is outstanding. Whether it’s outdoor fun or indoor pampering and relaxation you crave, there’s always plenty of both awaiting you at Las Manos Bed and Breakfast.

Last fall , Colleen, William and Sue and Vicki (clients and friends) canned over 40 pints and 40 quarts of fresh peaches, tomatoes, cherries, and salsa which Sue and Vicki brought from western Colorado. We're still enjoying them and will have some through May.

Eric and Stephanie now hold the "latest breakfast" title at Las Manos....3:00 pm ...Life is wonderful!

Spring is on it's way at Las Manos. We have some of our regular summer visitors here now, including Robins and Mountain Bluebirds. This morning, April 10, Colleen saw our first Hummingbird. The snow is gone on the valley floor, but still beautiful up on the mountains.

It's a great time for hiking, sitting in the hot springs or riding you bike (or borrow one of ours..they're free.)

We had a very snowy winter, which promises a very floral summer starting in June. These are some of our wildflowers that bloomed last summer.

Our friends at The Trailhead, our local hiking and biking shop have great ideas for every level of hiking and biking adventure.

Remember, we have 2 miles of virtually private river access. The folks at Arkanglers have all the latest info on conditions on the Arkansas and the nearby streams and lakes.

Birthdays are special at Las Manos -

A recent birthday surprise for one of our guests included a couples massage for both, a bottle of wine, hand-dipped chocolate strawberries, roses, bath salts and handmade soaps, and two custom made birthday carrot cakes with cream cheese icing...wow!!

We have a new wind generator...a Whisper 200, which generates about half of our electricity. We had a group of friends help with setting it up, and it's a wonderful addition to our solar panels as a source of electricity. Thanks to AC Solar in Florence Colorado.
